Lesson description and learning notes

 

Notes are the universal language of music and the fundamental alphabet for all musical instruments. Understanding note names and their function is essential for learning any instrument and for developing the ability to read music accurately. Mastering note reading is the first step toward building strong musical skills, whether you are a beginner or an advanced musician.

 

This is the first session of Music Theory in the PlayPan course

In this session, we will explore the names of musical notes and their historical background. You will gain a deeper understanding of how notes have evolved over time and how they form the foundation of musical theory. By learning the note names, you not only enhance your ability to play any instrument but also strengthen your overall musical literacy, enabling you to interpret, perform, and compose music more effectively

Through interactive exercises and guided examples, this session provides a clear path to note recognition, helping you to connect theory with practical handpan playing or any other instrument. By the end of the session, you will be confident in reading and identifying notes, which will serve as a solid foundation for all future musical training
